Bear and Bird Wines is nestled in the ancient river lands of Tasmania's Coal Valley.  The region is shaped by time, wild weather, and mineral-rich soils.  The Coal Valley's dry, sunny climate with cool nights is ideal for cool-climate varieties.  Like Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay. With sustainability at its core, Bear and Bird Wines was founded with a simple aim: To produce wines that reflect the purity of the region and the passion of the couple behind them. The farm is meticulously cared for with respect for the environment, with the land, its future and natural strengths in mind.

Inspired by our seventh-generation Tasmanian children—and the shared love of this land we call home—our small, single-site, family-run vineyard is the result of years of dedication, care, and deep-rooted connection to Tasmania.

We take pride in crafting wines that reflect our meticulous attention to the fruit we grow and the sustainable practices we embrace to honour this place. After all, this is more than a vineyard to us. It’s our home.
